Presume he survived.

He is not in the CWGC register so presume he lived.

I wonder if our readers are aware that the ancestors of the great American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow lived in Horsforth & worshiped at St. Oswald’s Church, Guiseley.
I wonder if the above Longfellows were related to him.

I can find no Military info on this man though we know he was killed.
There are 1 or 2 men in the CWGC register that may be him.

Pte. Foster Megson
Born 1889, Horsforth.
At 1911 census was living with his step brother at Victoria Terrace, Horsforth.
Foster married Lilian May Adeline Richardson at St. Andrew’s Church Yeadon, 11/4/1914.
He served in Army Service Corps, Machine Gun Corps (M). Regimental Number T4/247858, 191941914.
He died in 1953

This may be the man.
